Titles

To decide on our title for our trailer, we did a brainstorm of all the words that we thought would make a good movie.

This is our brainstorm below.

We mainly came up with words that reminded us of the abandoned house that we visited. Our favourite title that we came up with was 'Abandoned'. However, we thought this sounded familiar so we 'googled' it.

This was when we realised that there had already been a film named Abandoned! As we all agreed that we wanted this name for our horror trailer, we thought it'd be a good idea to speak to our media teacher.

After discussing this issue with our teacher, we came to the conclusion that we could use this name and it wouldn't be copyright if we were to do so because we thought of it without knowing that there was already a film called this and there are other films that have the same name as another, that are made by completely different people. Therefore, we chose 'ABANDONED' to be our title for our horror trailer.

Once we had decided on a title, we thought it'd be a good idea to decide how we wanted the title to look when its shown in the trailer so we tried and tested different fonts on a black background to see if we liked any of them.
